Designing a new way of staying in Venice
Casa Flora is a contemporary boutique home and residency in Venice.
A place to stay, explore, and create in the heart of the city. A culture-rich open house that welcomes travellers and creatives, fostering an ongoing dialogue with the territory and the local community of makers, artists, and residents.
The Project
Casa Flora was conceived during an initial research phase in the summer of 2015, when Gioele Romanelli and Diego Paccagnella, together with architect Matteo Ghidoni and Stefano Micelli began to envision the space and build a local network, drafting the first pieces of furniture in collaboration with manufacturing companies.
Creative Residencies
Drawing from its vocation as a generative space of exchange and reflection, and standing at the intersection of ingenuity, craftsmanship and hospitality, Casa Flora has welcomed creative minds in various disciplines, fostering an ongoing dialogue with the city’s cultural milieu.
Kitchen Residencies
A new residency program devoted to the research and experimentation of culture-rich ways to put the culinary history, anthropology and geography of the lagoon of Venice in dialogue with the transformations of our times, offering new perspectives on what it means to cook and eat locally.
